Scoring Mode
When you create Blocking Rules, select the Scoring option for the Control Mode: the file elements are analyzed to assess the risk they could represent through the calculation of a score. As of a defined score, the file is blocked as it presents a risk of errors.
List of Scoring Criteria
This section enables you to define the risk assessment criteria for transactions.
- Click Add Criterion.
- Enter the criterion name in the Description field.
- Select the type of criterion to apply from the following list:
- According to Transaction Currency
- According to Transaction Amount
- According to Third Party Country
- According to Third Party Bank Country
- According to Exclusion List Verification
- For each criterion, you can specify a default score.
The default score must reflect the most frequent situation. Then, you must specify a score from 0 to 100 for each particular case:
- 0 = no risk of error
- 100 = certainty of error

After analyzing its activity, a company qualifies the small amount transfers and big amount transfers as risky.
As a result the following scores are specified:
- Default score of 20 for amounts assessed as normal
- Score of 90 for amounts Under 10 EUR
- Score of 90 for amounts Above 100,000 EUR
All the transactions between 10 and 100 000 EUR get 20, while all the transactions under 10 EUR or above 100 000 EUR get 90.

After analyzing its activity company qualifies as risky all the transfers towards a bank settled in Russia.
As a result the following scores are specified:
- Default score of 20 for transfers towards all countries
- Default score of 90 for transfers towards RU as Bank Country
All transactions get 20 except the ones involving a Third Party Bank in RU, they get 90.
Blocking
This section enables you to activate three different blocking situations:
- The file contains a transaction with a higher score than the specified one.
- The file contains a remittance with a higher score (transactions score average) than the specified one.
- The file has a higher score (transactions score average) than the specified one.
For each situation, you need to specify a score which represents the level of risk acceptance.
